File Content Uploader APK

File Content Uploader Android app that replaces data inside files. It does not copy the file, only its content. In shell terms: cat source > target instead of cp source target. Use Case This is useful for use cases where an android legacy app has no permission to access all files, and you want to import files into it (for example, openttd). The app can only see the files it wrote and is only allowed to read them. If you overwrite the file with the one you want to import, the app is no longer allowed to read it. I think this is caused by androids fuse filesystem and cannot be fixed by mere linux file permissions. The solution is to replace only file content, not the file itself. Usage Save a file from the app to a generally available folder on /sdcard/ or /storage/emulated/0/, e.g. downloads In File Content Uploader, open the file you want to import as source open the file saved by the app as target Click the button
