CyanBat CyanBat is a side-scrolling 2D action game, inspired by retro classics like *Gradius*, modern arcade staples like *Flappy Bird*, and, of course, *NyanCat*. It runs on **Android**, on **iPhone and iPad**, on the **desktop** (Windows, macOS and Linux) and in the **browser** from a single shared codebase. The platform modules only supply platform pieces: asset decoding, input, audio, haptics and persistence. **Compose Multiplatform**: one set of menu, settings and credits screens renders on Android, iOS, the desktop and the web, from shared string and drawable resources. The game itself is drawn through Compose's Canvas too — on the GPU through HWUI on Android, through Skia on iOS, on the desktop and in the browser, where Kotlin/Wasm runs it — as pixel art on a 640x360 grid at any screen size, with the HUD's text smooth over it. **Entity Component System**: :engine's ECS decouples game logic from data, so behavior is composed from components rather than an inheritance hierarchy. **2D lighting**: the cave is lit by point lights - the bat, its shots and the flare of every hit, the blasts - with hard shadows cast…
