With these inexpensive dongles you can pick up AIS signals broadcasted by nearby vessels, even if offline! The App directly accesses the USB device and does not need additional drivers. Output can be send via UDP to plotting Apps like Boat Beacon or OpenCPN. A lightweight AIS receiver system when travelling.
